LIBERATE ART FROM MUSEUM

DOC 234—34/2

WRITING & PUBLICATION

This book is dedicated compiled, written, and designed to liberate art from museum. My starting point was ideas arose when seeing replicas spread around the digital realm. Exploring the concept of reproduction, especially in the context of art and technology, through different time periods and perspectives. This book offers a rich exploration of how our understanding of replication and dissemination has evolved.

Considering how digital realms and the internet have accelerated the spread of replicas, my exploration may delve into questions of authenticity, authorship, and the impact of this rapid dissemination on society, culture, and the very nature of art itself. How the digital age has amplified these ideas or perhaps explored potential shifts or nuances that have emerged in recent times? Especially the appearance of Digital Assets, such as NFTs — a prime example of this phenomenon.

The book contains three different perspectives weaving together the insights of three distinct perspectives from different periods. One draws from ‘The Work of Art in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction’ by Benjamin (1935), another from Episode I of ‘Ways of Seeing’ by John Berger (1972), and the third reflects my own interpretation in the context of 2023.
